If you have identified staph boils, watch it closely. If it is caused by a staph infection, it will progress rapidly, getting larger and larger. Some have reported these growing up to a size of a golfball, and they will often burst or ooze pus.

Staph - An Overview
Staph is basically a bacteria that can at times be found on an individuals skin. While it does not usually cause significant problems, it can at times result in staph skin infections, which can actually result in staph boils if it is left untreated. It is of utmost importance to get to the doctor if you think there is any chance that you are suffering from this condition. An infection of this kind can enter the bloodstream, resulting in a serious condition known as sepsis, which can be life threatening.
