What To Do When You Have Staph Boils?

If you have identified staph boils, watch it closely. If it is caused by a staph infection, it will progress rapidly, getting larger and larger. Some have reported these growing up to a size of a golfball, and they will often burst or ooze pus.

Kinds of Staph Infections

There are actually a lot of different kinds of staph skin infections, so if you are concerned that you have one, you should do some research to recognize the difference. Some are more serious than others. These various types are easily found on the Internet, complete with sample pictures, so that you can easily recognize the difference.

Staph boils will essentially look like a very large inflamed pimple. It is filled with pus, and it is usually red, swollen, and tender. They are usually about one half inch to three quarter inch in diameter.

Staph - An Overview

Staph is basically a bacteria that can at times be found on an individuals skin. While it does not usually cause significant problems, it can at times result in staph skin infections, which can actually result in staph boils if it is left untreated. It is of utmost importance to get to the doctor if you think there is any chance that you are suffering from this condition. An infection of this kind can enter the bloodstream, resulting in a serious condition known as sepsis, which can be life threatening.

Some of the most common areas for a boil to appear is under the arms, the buttocks, and the groin area. They are common in hidden areas where we usually sweat more.
